Burning Karthago All I see are fires Burning bright under a blood red sky All hope seems lost In these bitter days waves and waves of barbarians smashing against thy walls, oh Karthago How long can we stand these attacks Of this neverending flood of foes Wounded, dying, dead ones lying beneath the feet of the living Shattered brains, rivers of blood and bowels, burned and crippled limbs Oceans of fallen mercenaries Boiling oil floating over cloth Burning holes into the flesh Liquid lead running over helms Rain of sparks spit into their faces Man after man set in flames Look into their empty eyeshells as their bodies fall See the gates splinter Watch the walls crumble Bodies are rotting Down in the sun On the walls In theese old streets Way too long This siege lasts There is still a sacrifice to be made to turn this fight it is time to end this war by passing the children through the fire

The Shepherd 03:28
Silent night, blackened night Only the stars are awake As I fullfill my dark work Knife sharpened as I walk like a wolf among the sheep Darkened night, bloody night In the shadows I wander Approaching the lambs, so gently sleeping Not aware of their horrible doom Vanished is reserve as I slither in ecstasy The throats of the helpless, taking their life for mine Blood is spilled on this peaceful ground Rivers of blood glimpsing in the moon light Limbs torn apart, flesh ripped from the bones In bloodlust I feast upon the sheep of my own horde And still I hear the sound of the dying ones But what need for the shepherd, when the wolves have all gone

Crawl in dust, tremble before me For I am the god-king, son of Sety Marching on in the land of Hatti Onward on the way to Kadesh Muwatalli, ruler of the Hittites Tried to trick me, but failed His chariots, unnumbered as the sand Laid in ambush, shred through my divisions None of my princes, of my chief men and great, Is with me, not a captain, not a knight But I am like Baal, I’m like Sutekh In this hour I hurled them headlong One upon another, into the water Of the Orontes they flew And their limbs were loosed For fear and terror And they had not any heart All courage was vanished And I hew them into pieces, And I dashed them into dust And I slaughtered At my pleasure And I killed them, None escaped me So, Here I stand, All alone; There was no one at my side, My warriors and chariots afeared, Have deserted me, none heard my voice, When to the cravens I, their king, cried. But I find that Ammon's grace is better far to me Than a million fighting men and chariots be.
